Let’s be honest…..mom life is beautiful, but it’s also a full-on marathon every single day. Between homeschooling, housework, meal planning, toddler tantrums, and trying to get a moment to drink hot coffee, it can feel like you’re drowning in a sea of never-ending to-dos.
But I’ve learned that having a few simple weekly habits helps me stay grounded, organized, and dare I say… sane. If you’re a stay-at-home mom who’s trying to manage all the things without losing yourself in the chaos, these are the 10 weekly habits that have truly made a difference in my home and in my mindset.
1. A Sunday Reset
This is my golden ticket. I prep meals, tidy the house, wash sheets, and make sure we’re ready to start the week strong. It’s not about perfection….it’s about reducing Monday stress.
I break down exactly how I reset each week in this post. You can also grab the free printable checklist to start your own reset habit!

2. Morning Routine (That’s Just for Me)
I wake up at 5:00 a.m. so I can have peace, coffee, and time to work on my blog before anyone else is awake. This alone time is sacred.
3. Weekly Meal Planning
I plan out dinners (and toddler snacks!) so I’m not standing in front of the fridge at 5 p.m. wondering what to make. It saves money and sanity.

4. Daily Load of Laundry
One load a day keeps Mt. Laundry from growing out of control. It’s part of my daily rhythm and takes the overwhelm out of laundry day.
5. Weekly Homeschool Planning Session
Even during summer, I take time once a week to plan school review work, outdoor learning, and sensory play for my toddler. It keeps our days smoother and more intentional.

6. Prep a Snack Basket
Every week I prep a snack basket for the kids so they can grab something after school work without asking a million times. Bonus: it cuts down on messes and kitchen traffic.
7. A 10-Minute Power Clean Every Night
Before I go to bed, I do a quick sweep of the house….wipe counters, fluff pillows, and reset the kitchen. Waking up to a tidy space is a game-changer.

8. Intentional Time with My Husband
One night a week, we set aside time to just be together…no phones, no TV, just us. It helps us reconnect and stay strong as a team.
9. Movement Just for Me
Working out during naptime isn’t just about fitness…it’s about reclaiming energy, focus, and mental clarity. It keeps me feeling like myself.

10. One No-Guilt Lazy Day
Once a week, we don’t do lessons, and I don’t worry about chores. We watch a movie, stay in pajamas, and let life slow down. Every mom needs a pause button.
These weekly habits aren’t fancy or revolutionary, but they’re mine….and they help me show up as a better mom, wife, and woman. You don’t need to overhaul your entire life. Just pick one or two habits that feel doable and start there. You’ve got this, mama.
